The Print Factory (TPF) was formed in 1991, starting life as a provider of print manufacturing services to UK and international businesses.

Even against a relentlessly harsh industry backdrop – with numerous printers being forced to close down – TPF has managed not just to survive but to thrive. We’ve consistently expanded and invested in new technologies that benefit customers by improving lead-times, quality and prices.

In 1999, we decided to enter the print management (PM) outsourcing arena, having noted how many companies were choosing not to renew PM contracts with existing market suppliers. This appeared to confirm our suspicion that contracts were more often driven by how much revenue could be generated in the shortest possible time-frame, than by true, service-based performance and added-value initiatives.

Since we moved into this rapidly expanding part of the industry, we have consistently doubled our turnover year on year. We are now one of the leading players in this sector.

In 2004 we entered the direct mail sector, where we’re now a leading player.

2005 saw the launch of our new creative services division, offering in-house copywriting and design services to our clients.

In 2006 we launched new facilities management and document management services; we also purchased major new premises in West London which house our state-of-the-art Digital Communications service, launched in the Autumn of that year; we also embarked upon our first significant expansion overseas, with the launch of an office in the United States, together with a web-based print ordering system available in 130 countries worldwide.

TPF Group is now the UK’s fastest growing print business. We’re also the largest privately-owned printing company in the UK, with a current annual turnover in excess of £80 million.
